The Report

The sad constant information of illness and lost of livelihood has unfortunately become common place in our small but dedicated work circles. Research conducted online and connecting with others in the entertainment venue service in Montgomery has led me to concur with the maps and information provided below from the Covid-19 Event Risk Assessment Planning Tool Information illustrated below. It frightfully offers no way for many gig workers to maintain any resemblance of their former income without a way of lowering risk exposure to event attendees.
This map shows how Montgomery is one of many counties in Alabama that are high risk.  Surrounding counties are in orange and potentially contribute to the rising number of cases in Montgomery as people holiday travel and continue to attend events. As Covid fatigue sets in, people are becoming more and more relaxed with their personal Coronavirus care
regrettably  increasing their exposure in everyday life when attending events. The Covid Careful Campaign, when applied correctly and monitored for compliance during events, give guests a care free way to maintain a lowered level of exposure. This will assist in reducing the risk of exposure to surrounding yellow and red counties. Over time, the reduction of the overall numbers of confirmed cases and deaths can be achieved by significantly reducing levels of exposure statewide by implementing campaign components during events.

Event Control

This map shows the current state of risk level of exposure as the number of guests increase at a event in Alabama.  As illustrated, as the number of guests increase the level of exposure increase.  This is due to several factors which include but are not limited to, no event mask mandate, mixed comfort levels congregating, Covid fatigue and the most significant factor that contributes to this increased level of exposure is the fact most events involve many people.  Very few people want to share joyous upcoming events with a select few.  Humans are social creatures and actively seek out attention, touch and to congregate from others.  The Covid Careful Campaign can contribute significant to the reduction in exposure levels as guest number increases by providing non verbal comfort cues that guest can communicate to each other along with protocol for guests who's comfort level do not match those of other guest by mandating certain activities such as mask requirements and acknowledgement and compliance with established campaign components.

Risk Assessment

This map shows the likelihood that someone at an event you are attending has been infected with Coronavirus as the number of guests increase. As the map illustrates, smaller more intimate settings are shown to have the lowest level of exposure in your "pod" and that level increases as your pod becomes larger and more diverse to include individuals of different households.  Implementing campaign components would significantly reduce guests exposure in the following ways which render the number of guests irrelevant when considering your level of exposure at any event. Utilizing exclusively outdoor event spaces, event mask mandates, all food and drink restricted to contained culinary only, color coded comfort bands, social distance decorating / seating will ensure proper ventilation for each guests adequate to maneuver aerosols projected, remove community dining and provide easy to navigate social distance cues to guests. When these crucial campaign components are implemented correctly and consistently monitored for compliance they significantly reduce the level of exposure regardless of the event size.

Elite Event Planning Changes

Elite Event Planning is gearing up for the grand opening of our first outdoor venue event where we will have the components of the Covid Careful Campaign on full display.  In order to get ready for this huge change in everyday business practices and to continue a safe quarantine for myself and my family as cases are on the rise again, campaign components have been implemented company wide since August 2020 at all events free of charge.  After many months of study trying to find ways to keep going safely, I first found the things I could no longer do safely.  Because of this, first services were reconfigured or removed including the following...
Process One
We will no longer host an indoor venue.  As we look to science for our answers, research has discovered that outdoor venues minimize the rise of the transmission.  We are currently in negotiations with the City of Montgomery to purchase open air venue facilities to help ensure the safety of our guests and their families.  In the interim we are offering  our guests up to 5 of our top of the line 10 x 30 event tents complete with side walls and installation on your readied private or public space.  Contact us today for more details.
Process Two
Until further notice the following services will be eliminated from our services menu  Any and all forms of community food or drinks.  In my research of the spread of the coronavirus, it is evident that community activities where people are unable to social distance and completely sanitize frequently touched areas between uses contribute to the spread.  This has not been more evident in the use of buffets and drink dispensers.  With the inability to properly use sanitation or disinfected sprays around food and drink stations, the use of community food and drinks at events will be eliminated.
Process Three
Until further notice we will no longer host events of more than 25 people.    The longer you are in contact with other individuals of another household,  increase your chance of exposure as we have not unfortunately gotten to the very crucial point to testing people who may be A symptomatic.  As an alternative to large scale events we will be offering complimentary video tapping of our event with up to five copies to sent to friends and relatives that could not attend due to guest capacity restrictions.
As these changes developed it quickly came to light that some services could not only be reconfigured but done so in a way that can lower coronavirus exposure for my guests and their families.  The research combined with the reconfiguration of services is where the Covid Careful Campaign was born.  As I began to implement the campaign components to my events  I began to have virtually free exposure events.  The proof came in 2 weeks after my first Covid Careful event in the form of several negative Covid test, including mine.  I then immediately wanted to share this gift with all Alabamians to start to assemble to the new norm of attending events in Montgomery Alabama and beyond.
